Winter Is Here!

Socialise Banner

Let’s face it, it’s a lot harder to get energetic about going out in the evenings when it’s so cold outside!

It’s nice to know Socialise is always open and warm!

Internet traffic increases over winter, so it’s a great time to meet some new people and make new friends.

Remember Socialise is a clean, safe well moderated environment and we encourage our regular users to invite their friends to register.

Im having a go at this.
Ive heard about blogs , I guess it is a way of jotting down things you want others to know about , or just expressing something you want to share.
Anyway I have been a member of Socialise since earlier this year and It is really good to have the “comfort” of friends on line, unlike yahoo where ya get bombarded by bots
Since the May meet in Wellington when I met other members of Socialise I feel like I am part of yet another family and I like the safety aspect of this chat environment.
The trophy awards was really great, in that each of us was made to feel a part of the Socialise family,in a special way
Im looking forward to the next meet-up, when hopefully a lot more of us can meet but also to catch up with everyone who came to Wellington.

Going out and socialising in the winter can be a real effort but you have to do it so you stay sane. That’s where Socialise has been a god-send! I can catch up with mates without having to brush my hair or put on my lippy. And when I’ve had enough I don’t have to worry about driving home! My favourite thing about Socialise is the diversity of the people. The other night I nodded and pretended I knew what the young-uns were taking about when discussing the hottest bands. Then all of a sudden the conversation turned to real estate tips! I have a laptop now so I’m looking forward to snuggling under the duvet with all my friends! *evil grin*

I’ve been to a few chat sites before and usually last on average about 5 mins, they are boring, the people are rude and its the old school chat in a box thing. When I joined socialise I expected the same thing, I was so very pleasantly surprised and 10 months on I still love it!! I have made some wonderful friends, and have met most of them in real life. Its a great way to unwind and have a giggle and a good natter about all sorts of stuff with all sorts of people. :-)

I much prefer ‘seeing’ people in chatrooms. I tried the old Internet Relay Chatrooms (which are the old text only windows that pop up) and I just about went mad and blind all at the same time! I like the body language too, it’s funny how we project ourselves into the rooms isn’t it!?

I really joined socialise to get even with a certain man at that time in my life….(To make his blood boil!! It worked too!!)

The only problem was I then met a whole heap of new and VERY interesting people, who took me under their wings and made me part of the family!

I now chat online for myself and have enjoyed every moment of it! And the fact that we met up IRL is amazing!! To pick up 2 total strangers and drive to Welly and back was an adventure! And dont get me started on CC!! (wink wink)

But thank you to all the creators and the Mods who have put in all the time and effort to make this chat room the best…just gotta get more dance styles!!

xx

When I joined socialise I didnt realise what a huge difference it would make in my life…
Before when I came home from work life was boring, I would chat on m s n, or ya h o o, but since joining soc I have chatted to people who take me as I am, as I them, the highlight was meeting all of u who came to the maymeet, and yummychar.
Also that it is based here in little ol wellington is a definate bonus…keep it up soc ! :)
